Program Requirements
Academic Requirements:
Social Justice Colloquium is a one credit-hour course that introduces the concept of social justice and integrates learning opportunities occurring inside and outside of the classroom. You will hear from guest speakers from a variety of experiences and backgrounds on issues related to social justice. The course will be taken during the fall semester.
Freshman Topic Composition and Public Speaking are three credit-hour courses tailored to include social justice curriculum content. Both courses fulfill part of your general education requirements at FSU. You will choose to take either of the courses in the fall and spring semesters, enrolling in one or the other both semesters.
Introduction to Justice/Injustice Seminar is a three credit-hour course that teaches students the societal and philosophical foundations of oppression, discrimination, justice and injustice. You will explore the breadth and depth of social justice issues and discover personal interest areas of service, research, and/or practice. This course will be taken in the spring semester.
